After a day like today, it's hard to believe just a few weeks ago we had freezing temps and snow on the ground! We packed up the kids, some neighborhood friends and our nieces and headed to the Portland Sea Dogs game this afternoon. It wasn't the greatest showing for the Sea Dogs, I'm afraid. But, we were there to cheer on every hit and fly ball catch! I admit, we also snacked on a few choice ballpark items - fried dough, hot dogs, ice cream, cookies, slushees, french fries... I'm pretty sure we sampled everything the concessions had to offer. Good times, let me tell you! :)
Did I mention there were soft pretzels and frozen lemonade, too? YUM!

The Ladies of Kidz 'n Maine
It was a HUGE treat for us to be able to photograph all the wonderful Moms behind the Kidz 'n Maine newspaper this morning! I was a little nervous on Friday when the forecast called for rain and fog - but, the weather gods were shining on us today!! What a wonderful group of women and their children were absolutely adorable!!
We spent some time capturing this group photo and then each mom with her children separately. These kids were amazingly patient and somehow they managed to stay clean until all the pictures were done. Trust me, that's no easy accomplishment when you're surrounded by lots of lovely diggable dirt and loose rocks! Of course, the moment the cameras were off - the real fun began!! The kids hit the playground at Fort Williams fueled with bagels and donuts and barely stopped to chew and swallow. It was the perfect day to relax and have fun - and take a few photos, too!
Check out next month's issue of Kidz 'n Maine to see more of the photos we captured today. We hope you have a very happy Mother's Day, ladies! :)

Get out and play!
I know it's been a while since our last post... I'll be the first to admit we're outside enjoying the sunshine - finally!!! We've been at the beach, the playground, riding bikes and swinging from trees. Of course, we've also had a birthday party and a family reunion to enjoy in the past week. No wonder I'm so tired! :)
This weekend we'll be at Portland Head Light photographing some of the wonderful moms behind the Kidz 'n Maine newspaper! We've been providing images to this publication since it started up last year and we're really excited to photograph the ladies and their children for the May issue. This paper is my number one source for info on all kinds of events and activities for kids in our area. With school vacation week coming up - it's a great resource!
We're also gearing up for our 2008 wedding season. Many of our brides are in the final phase of wedding planning and all the anticipation that goes along with it. We're super excited about each event!

Tea for three
One of the greatest perks about my job is that I get to be home with my little ones. Today I was especially lucky to attend a toddler tea with three adorable sweeties. Each of them dressed for the occasion and lots of fun was had by all! There were delicious muffins and fruit, coloring and even a story time. I may add that a three year old 'read' the story and it was wonderfully imaginitive!
