Claire & Tim

Saturday, July 26th celebrated the wedding of Claire & Tim in Portsmouth, NH. After a full week of heavy downpours and severe storms it was truly a welcome sight to see bright blue skies and warm sun in honor of this wonderful couple's big day! Claire and Tim, their family and friends were so much fun to work with. By the end of the evening, I think we were having as much fun as everyone there! :)

I arrived at Claire's mom's home to a very quiet bustle of energy making last minute preparations. Claire was busily trying to ward off any signs of sleep-deprivation with ice packs, cucumbers and some eye gel (although, honestly, she looked beautiful and rested to me!). Once the flowers arrived, it was quick work for Claire, her mom and matron of honor to get make-up applied and dressed for the wedding.

Tige spent his time with Tim who was already dressed and ready to get to the church. After a few family photos, Tige captured a couple shots of Tim with his best man (and brother) before Claire was due to arrive. Then, there was much anticipation for the ceremony to begin!

Claire had a little difficulty catching her breath with the excitement of walking down the aisle; but, after a few sips of orange juice she and her mom processed into the church where Tim was anxiously waiting to see his bride. The ceremony was very simple and sweet.

We photographed some family photos at the church, then made our way to the grounds of the Portsmouth Country Club for a few shots of Claire and Tim sharing some time together.

Once the reception was underway, there was barely any room on the dance floor! Thank you so much Claire and Tim for sharing your day with us! We hope there are many more adventures for you on the road ahead. I'm very curious to know more about the 3 a.m. bridge-jumping expedition... then again, maybe the less I know, the better. :) Congratulations, you two!!

Stephanie & Gareth

Stephanie and Gareth are traveling from San Francisco to celebrate an October wedding here in Maine. On a trip back East over the 4th of July holiday, they managed to squeeze in some time for Tige to capture some engagement pics. I don't believe we've encountered a couple more comfortable in front of the camera - and, so willing to try anything for a photograph! From dancing through the streets of the Old Port to handstands in the park at Fort Williams, they made it easy to capture some wonderful (and hilarious!) candid moments. It's obvious there's a lot of laughter and joy in this relationship.

Here are just a few of my favorite images from their engagement shoot...

A waltz along Wharf Street...

And a fog-filled session at the park...

As you can see, it really took some effort for Tige to get these two to cooperate for the camera! :) We wish Stephanie and Gareth continued laughter and fun over the next couple months of planning! Your wedding day will be here before you know it - and, we're so excited to share in your celebration!

Brooke & Mike

On Saturday, July 5th, Brooke and Mike were married at The Governor's Inn in Rochester, NH. What a spectacular day!! The weather was beautiful - 75 degrees, low humidity - and barely a cloud in the sky. This couple was so much fun for us to work with! They were excited to take pictures and do some less traditional poses, too. It was a real treat for us; and, hopefully, Brooke and Mike had some fun too. Although, I think perhaps their cheeks hurt from smiling so much. :)

Brooke was calmly waiting in one of the inn's rooms with her girls when we arrived. She already had her hair and makeup done, so, it was just a matter of putting on the gown. Her gown was very simple with some beautiful beaded detailing along the waistline and train.

We captured a few formals of each side of the bridal party and then managed to get a couple less formal pics....

The ceremony was very sweet. Brooke and her dad walked up the aisle to greet all the family and friends who were thrilled to be part of the celebration!

We had a little fun with the bridal party after the ceremony...

And, then it was time for some pictures of just the happy couple!

Brooke and Mike included some traditional favorites to their reception fun - the chicken dance and the electric slide got everyone out on the dance floor. They also included the shoe game which had everyone in the room laughing - including us!

We wish Brooke and Mike all the best for a wonderful life together. It was an honor for us to be able to photograph such a special celebration for them and their families!

Summer Fun!

Last weekend we had a break from our hectic summer wedding schedule and took off for NH. We camped out in North Conway with 16 of our family, friends and neighbors for a weekend of enjoying the outdoors, playing at Storyland and of course, enjoying a s'more or two (or in some cases, three!). Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate all that much, but loads of fun was had by all despite the heavy downpours and rumbles of thunder.
Ahh.. here is a tired bunch of early-to-rise campers enjoying their breakfast of pancakes and strawberries - YUM!
Next we enjoyed some tubing on the river, followed by this champion rock throw from one of our littlest campers...

And of course, the evening ended with the all-American camping dessert of s'mores (with a twist). Some of us more adventurous campers abandoned the Hershey bar for a Reece's peanut butter cup. Let's just say when the chocolate and the peanut butter warm up and ooze together with the marshmallow - it's a full bite of chocolatey, peanutbuttery deliciousness!!

Then, we braved the overcast skies and misty weather to enjoy the amusement and fun at Storyland! No trip to Storyland is quite complete without a ride on the flume (aka Bamboo Chutes) and the Swan boats!

The moment we left the park the rain began to come down in buckets, so, we had to abandon our picture taking. As water logged as we were, it was a total blast! We had a huge dinner in the pouring rain together while the kids ran around playing tag in their raincoats. One thing is for sure, it will be an annual excursion for us and hopefully, more people can join in on the fun next year! Fingers crossed for sunnier skies next time around!!
